When and where is the fair?

Our fair will take place on May 17th 2025 from 12pm - 3pm at Avenue United Methodist Church in Milford, DE.

How many businesses will you accept?

No limit! The more the merrier!

What is the age range for entrepreneurs?

Children ranging from the ages of 6 years old to 16 years old on the day of the fair will be allowed to participate.

How can I apply?

Applications must be submitted online through our “Apply Here” tab. Children working as a group should submit one application that includes each child’s name. No more than three participants per business.

What if someone has the same business idea?

Two cookie businesses? No problem! In general, we will let market forces play out, though we will let latter entries know if another applicant has a similar idea so the latter entrant can decide what to do.

How will the fair be set up?

The fair will be an outdoor event with tents/booths. Table cloths will not be provided. We are not able to accomodate businesses requiring electricity.

Will electricity be available?

Unfortunately, we are not able to provide electricity to the booths.

Is there a vendor fee?

Yes. Similar to the real world, each business will need to “lease” space to operate. The fee will be $5 per business.

Is anyone making money off this fair?

Just the kids! Any sponsor money, vendor fees, and donations will cover costs and be reinvested for future fairs.

What are the rules?

This event is designed for children, no parents. The goal is for children to experience selling a product or service. If a parent is found selling or promoting a child’s product or service, their child’s business will be asked to leave.

Parents of younger children may sit in the booth, but the children should be responsible for set up, customer interaction, and sales.

Parents may help their child fill out the application, but we expect the children to do as much as possible by themselves.
